Mick Karn released his second solo album in 1987 entitled 'Dreams of Reason Produce Monsters'. The album provided Karn with a platform to collaborate once again with his Japan band members.The album made its debut on the UK Album Charts on the 28th February 1987 at number 89 before falling out of the charts the following week.
