E G Daily - Wild Child - Album

The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and actress E.G. Daily is best known for her 1986 hit 'Say It, Say It,' a Madonna-ish urban/dance-pop gem that was produced by Jellybean Benitez and co-written by Stephen Bray.

E.G. Daily is a perfect example of an artist whose biggest hit is not representative of her overall output. Anyone who has heard Daily's debut album, 'Wild Child', learned that most of the songs are neither urban contemporary nor dance-pop; overall, Wild Child is a pop/rock album.

The LP's most dance-oriented tracks are 'Say It, Say It' and an inspired cover of Donna Summer's 1979 classic 'Sunset People,' which has a strong Euro-dance flavor. Daily updates the tune, making it relevant to the hi-NRG scene of 1986. But the rest of the tracks are straight-up pop/rock; that is true whether Daily's producer is Harold Faltermeyer on 'Love in the Shadows' and 'Is Anybody Home?' or Keith Forsey on 'Waiting.'

In the 1980s, Faltermeyer was no stranger to dance-pop -- in fact, he produced Daily's 'Sunset People' remake. But 'Love in the Shadows' and 'Is Anybody Home?' are fine examples of what he can do as a pop/rock producer.

Harold Faultermyer - Top Gun Soundtrack

Top Gun is the sountrack from the movie of the same name, released in 1986 by Columbia Records. In 1999, it was reissued in a Special Expanded Edition with additional songs.

The album reached number one in the US Album charts for several weeks in 1986.

A separate CD of the score was released as a limited promotional item. It was never sold in stores and fetches high prices with traders. However, even this CD does not contain the complete score. Noticeably missing are the Hop 19 instrumental, and the music from when Maverick flies with Sundown.

Harold Faltermeyer - Fletch Theme

Fletch is a 1985 comedy film about a wisecracking investigative newspaper reporter, Irwin M. Fletcher (Chevy Chase), who writes under the name of Jane Doe. The film was based on the popular Gregory McDonald Novels, the screenplay was written by Andrew Bergman and it was directed by Michael Ritchie.

Fletch Theme was requested by Dave Brummy. I thought I would but the whole thing up and some other bonus stuff as well. Enjoy.

Harold Faltermeyer - Thief Of Hearts - Soundtrack

Thief of Hearts is a 1984 film produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. It was written and directed by Douglas Day Stewart.
A burglar; Scott (Steven Bauer), robs the home of a couple. One of the items he takes is the wife's (Barbara Williams) diary. Scott begins to read the diary and discovers that the wife, Mickey, yearns for a more interesting life. The diary is full of her fantasies and dreams, and soon Scott plans to turn these into reality. Scott uses his inside knowledge to seduce Mickey, and the forbidden romance blossoms. This movie also stars a very young David Caruso.

Harold Faltermeyer was writting music for movies when early on in his career he created arguably one of his finest works for the 1984's Thief Of Hearts film (a highly sought after CD with noteworthy electronic scoring and songs for Melissa Manchester, Annabella Lwin, Elizabeth Daily and others).

I had not heard of this movie or it's soundtrack at the time untill I bought the film for Mark as he loved the music and movie. I enjoyed the movie but felt that the music was much better as it brings in good songs and greats an atmosphere with the musical pieces. It took a while to finally get the soundtrack as it is very hard to find but here it is for you all. Hope you enjoy it.

Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F

'Axel F' is the electronic instrumental theme from the 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop performed by Harold Faltermeyer. The title comes from the main character's name, Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy), in the film.

The single reached number 2 in the UK singles Charts in 1985 and remains a popular remix track. Mixes of 'Axel F' topped European pop charts in 2003 and again in 2005 as the Crazy Frog Song. In addition to the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack, the song also appears on Faltermeyer's 1988 album Harold F. as a bonus track. Reportedly, Faltermeyer was against including it, but MCA insisted, as it was his most recognizable track.
