Eighth Wonder - Fearless - Album

By the time Fearless had been completed and released in July of 1987, Eighth Wonder had issued a string of singles that had found success across Europe.

Fearless sold well in the U.K. reaching number 47 in the UK Album Chart . The group (now a quartet) even notched minor chart singles, 'Cross My Heart' and 'Baby Baby' in the U.S.

However by the end of 1988 Eighth Wonder quickly faded away, with Patsy Kensit going on to success in movies and being known for her involvement with a number of high-profile musicians.

Eighth Wonder - Cross My Heart

May 1988 saw the release of another single 'Cross My Heart' by Eighth Wonder which proved to be almost as successful chart wise as 'I'm Not Scared'.

The single made it o number 13 on the UK singles charts while also making number 6 in Switzerland, number 10 in Italy, number 13 in France and number 56 in the U,S, where it was their only American Top 75 hit single.

Eighth Wonder - I'm Not Scared

'I'm not Scared' is a 1988 song recorded by the band Eighth Wonder. It was the first single from the album Fearless. The single was also the group's fifth single overall.

The single achieved success in France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and UK, where it reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart.

Written by the Pet Shop Boys, the original version contains several words in the French-Language. 'J'ai pas peur', the B-side of the vinyl, is the French adaptation of 'I'm Not Scared'.

The Pet Shop Boys included their own version of the song on their 1988 album Introspective.
