When Andrew Poppy signed to the record label ZTT, he was given the oportunity to continue to experiment in developing his own style.The first album to be released from this was called 'The Beating Of Wings', which was released in 1985.
Poppy's style felt very different in what I was used to from the ZTT camp but this album was very atmospheric in style. It can also be decribed as being a film score without the film as it enables the listener to use their imagination and explore the bueaty of the music score.
