Katja Ebstein, (9 March 1945) is a German singer. She was born in Girlachsdorf (now Gniewków, Poland).She represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest three times: Eurovision Song Contest 1970, Eurovision Song Contest 1971 and Eurovision Song Contest 1980.
Katja Ebstein performed 'Theater' during the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest.
She came 2nd in the contest with a total points amount of 128 losing to Johnny Logan of Ireland with the winning song 'What's Another Year'.
The single was released in Germany, France and the UK where it was renamed to 'It's Showtime'. Each single sleeve had a different colour to Ebstein's name making it easier to tell them apart.
