'She's Like the Wind' is a 1987 hit pop/rock song performed by actor Patrick Swayze and featuring singer Wendy Fraser.
Swayze and Stacy Widelitz co-wrote the song in 1984, originally for the soundtrack of Grandview, U.S.A.. However, the song was not used in that film. During production of Dirty Dancing in 1986, Swayze played the demo for the producers and director. They loved it and passed it on to Jimmy Ienner, the soundtrack's executive producer. It was recorded for the soundtrack in November 1986, with Michael Lloyd producing.
The song, like the film in which it was featured, was a success around the world making number 17 in the UK Singles Chart and number 3 in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
The music video in black and white features clips from the movie Dirty Dancing and overlaid images of Patrick Swayze and Wendy Fraser.
