Steve Jolley (1950) and Tony Swain (January 20, 1952) were a successful pop musician, songwriting and record production duo in the UK in the early to mid-1980s. They produced several hit albums and singles for Imagination, Bananarama, Spandau Ballet and Alison Moyet.
In 1985 they decided to release a single of their own, the instrumental track 'Soul street'. It sounds a lot like the music of the aforementioned bands. The single was taken from the album 'Backtrackin', also released in 1985.
They continued to produce artists like Diana Ross, Tom Robinson and Wang Chung, until they split up in 1987.
After splitting up Swain went on to produce Kim Wilde's million-selling "Close" album. Jolley set up a record label under his surname. Swain is now A and R manager at Universal Revords.
