When Tiffany's version of 'I Think we're Alone Now' was knocked off the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in america the next single to take over was by Billy Idol 'Mony Mony'.

This was also another hit single for Tommy James And The Shondells back in 1968. The single made it to number 1 on theUk Singles Chart.
